Silver Lake { #3 }

We had the best, and I mean the best, vacation over the Fourth of July weekend.

Adalynn was such a sweet, sweet angel for our whole four day camping trip! We think we're going to plan another one before summer is over.

Here are a few more pictures, if you'd like to see...

Pure joy at having her feet in the sand for the first time.

Then she was kind of like...ummm...how do I get this in my mouth?

We slept in a tent. Us and our six month old baby girl.

And it was uhhhhh-mazing!

Spit your coffee out yet? This picture was after our last night, the warmest night. She was minus a layer or two since the first night - where she literally could not move her arms, they stuck our ramrod straight. It was hilarious!

In the mornings we all snuggled together under the covers.

She also had a bath in the great outdoors, I wish we had a picture of that. It was pretty stinking cute.

We were so proud of her, she was such a good sleeper! Our camping neighbors all loved her and couldn't believe they didn't hear a peep out of her.

One night we went to town for ice cream and go-carts. We usually watch the fireworks that they light off the top of the dunes over Silver Lake, but sadly we stayed Friday - Monday and left before they lit them off.

But for go-carts, they saved Kelly his super fast acting, run for hours machine...

We went in a couple of shops, the boys found these...super sexy...hats.

Which they proceeded to wear for the remainder of our vacation.

Sweet cheeks got to ride her uncle Chuck's quad.

Took awesome naps in the dunes thanks to her stellar ear muffs!

Sat up in her daddy's truck all by herself.

And all in all had a great time with her friends, old & new.

Kelly & I were talking on the way back about what an amazing weekend it was. Neither of us had any complaints. As for me, I always love coming home after a vacation. In fact, 90% of the time I cry when leaving home. But this time all I wanted to do was turn around and set our tent back up.

We're hoping to squeeze in another camping trip before the summer is over.

Do you have any favorite places in Michigan that are good for camping? We would love some suggestions!

Here was our first time at Silver Lake together, and this was last year
